Distinguished Philanthropist Society
The Louisiana Bar Foundation will recognize individuals with the Distinguished Philanthropist Award who have made exemplary investment in sustaining our mission. Recipients of this award will be recognized as a member of the Distinguished Philanthropist Society. Nomination criteria are as follows:
- A record of service to the LBF
- A leadership commitment to the practice of philanthropy
- A personal history of philanthropy to the LBF at $50K+
- Service to the larger not-for-profit community
Each member of the Distinguished Philanthropist Society has sustained generous contributions over the history of their giving life with the LBF. Each member gives in charity for personal reasons and serves as a model donor vested in uplifting our communities. Distinguished Philanthropists invigorate LBF igniting our mission to preserve and uphold access to justice for all. LBF’s Major Gifts Committee will oversee the identification of Distinguished Philanthropist Honorees from a list of eligible nominees submitted by the CEO or Development Officer. Recipients of the Distinguished Philanthropist Award will be inducted as a member of the Distinguished Philanthropist Society upon acceptance receiving a custom-made LBF jacket. Honorees are invited to speak at LBF’s Annual Gala to inspire the justice community and share their stories.
